The March 31st Deadline: Is Your Repair Business at Risk?

With the withdrawal of the PAS2060 Standard, repairers are encouraged to verify their commitment to the ARIES Standard, to ensure continued funding support.

The message is clear, if we want this support to continue, we must show responsible investment and independent verification.

The Critical Deadlines for 2026

There is no "grace period" left. Mark these dates in your calendar today:

  • March 31st 2026: Deadline to create and upload your Carbon Reduction Management Plan (CRMP) if you joined ARIES in 2025

  • April 30th 2026: Deadline to have that plan independently verified

New to ARIES after Jan 1st? You have 90 days to upload your plan and 30 days after that to get it verified.

What Does This Actually Mean?

In the past, you could just say you were "committed" to reducing carbon. Now, you have to prove it. To stay compliant, you must:

  1. Measure Your Baseline: Calculate exactly how much carbon your shop produces right now

  2. Create a Carbon Reduction Management Plan (CRMP): Write a report showing exactly how you will lower those numbers (an independent expert can do this part)

  3. Get Verified: Hire an independent expert to audit your plan and prove it’s real

Why You Can’t Afford to Wait

The industry is watching. Insurers and big commercial partners are reviewing how their investments are being used. ARIES has been very clear: without independent verification, there is a genuine risk that financial and contract support for your shop could be reconsidered.

The "90-day rule" and the upcoming March and April deadlines are catching many repairers off guard. If you are struggling to measure your emissions or your plan isn't ready for an audit, Propel Sustainability can help.
